A journey to remember - Part 1

When do the most creative ideas and the most daring thoughts knock the door of the brain? Before sleep? Bathroom? Sitting idle? Am not gonna answer that! :P But I happened to experience a hair raising thought just a while back. Thinking about how I ended up choosing to go for the dreamy distance of 300 km ride. All this while my legs are still begging for a bit of mercy as they got exhausted big time from the 200 km ride only a couple of days ago. The tan-lines are still fresh. My palms became rough and numb. No wonder though, as the ride itself is labelled ‘Heaven and Hell’ officially! But my mind still feels happy that I am a randonneur now. My mind is now racing to find all the memories and stick them together… to tell the tale! It all started when casual commuting on bicycle (hereby referred as bike) came to a stand-still and re-entered my life, after the bike got back to me, in running condition! One fine day the words – “We can go for long rid...

Looking back...

After a tiresome trek up and down the hill, every muscle seems to beg for a timeout. But the soul doesn't seem to be satisfied with the visual treat yet. The mind lingers to the breath-taking pictures and tends to imagine the scenic-beauties beyond the ghats. And then, amidst the fray, when he feels disappointed with himself, his eyes fall upon an old person peacefully heading to the destination he sought after, even while his meager posture looks barely standing. After a few minutes, he recalls a story he read many years back at school. He lets out a smile, that seems content. He calls out the old man and offers him the bun and water he has been saving for the journey all along. The old man was very alert and instantly turned his way. He gestured as if he is happy to see someone else str i ding the same path, but refusin g the offer. Still musing at the old man's gesture, he goes back to his childhood days thinking how his thinking patter...

W for ....

It was a long and tiring day. He winded up his training and headed to his favourite spot.... the tree shade amid-st the rocky terrain atop the hill. It was particularly calm and breezy as opposed to the howling winds growling in the ear. He felt the soothe on his face and closed his eyes to enjoy the short stay there. Leaning against the tree in his usual posture, he got lost in his world. His mind was still lingering to the thought. Being an avid reader and day dreamer, he always wanted to develop the fuzzy thought and plume it into much clearer words and someday he wish to see himself transform into a good writer. He believes in his principles firmly. Peace and patience come before pride to him. Something flashed in his mind and he quickly started penning down: Once, people worked for earning food and shelter. Then, people worked for the nation... developing and expanding it. Now, people work... but strife dominates the lifestyle. Waging wars? Winning them? ...

Uprooted

The seed of love came flying to me and landed on my heart It grew rapidly as a big tree spreading joy in my life Then one day, it was forced out... My life couldn't resist the very thought ... My heart was appalled With much effort, the tree was rooted out Only then I saw.. that the roots got penetrated deep into the heart...co-existing peacefully until then But the moment it was taken out, the heart looked deserted It seemed sad and wailing The tears of blood came out from all the pores made by the roots Then I wondered... 'Will it ever stop wailing? Will it ever heal?' Only time can answer!!

Story - part 3

She reached a park where her friend was waiting. That girl seemed very upset and tensed. Lets refer That Girl as TG. 'I never thought I would fall in love', TG said. I suddenly became very curious and started listening more carefully 'I thought I had full control of my life...I told my mom firmly that I had my plans. That I would complete my studies with good grades and settle with a good job. And now after I came here...' TG was telling her love story. TG was almost crying and somehow she spotted me. 'That ones still with you?' TG asked pointing at me. 'Yes, ofcourse!! Why do you ask?' 'Nothing. anyways, when shall we go to the Registrar office' 'We dont have much time. Lets leave now itself' 'OK' And we started off then itself. That guy whos gonna marry TG seems to be waiting at the office. But on our way, TG was spotted by some goons hired by her father as he was not happy with this love marriage thing. She tried to stop the g...

Story - part 2

I was with her for about 2 years. She somehow started to grow tired of me. The care she showed for me is no longer from the heart. She no longer took me along while going out. My heart grew heavier. I couldn't take it anymore. I wished I knew what was on her mind. My altered ego could no longer stand her ignorance and became desperate to know about her behaviour. And when things are getting miserable for me, One day ... She came out of the house from the back door. I donno why. She jumped over the wall and started racing at a dashing pace. All the way, she was telling 'hope no one noticed' I was shocked, surprised.... * * * Stay tuned

Story - part 1

She first saw me at an apparel shop... and apparently fell in love with me. but instead, she hid her feelings...looked all around..and eventually...came to me. Took me into her hands. And then started my love story. wherever she went, be it marriages, parties or any functions, she took me along. I felt so happy...so joyous She used to hand me all her valuables and asked to hold until she needed them. Its like all I have is what all she gave me. She used to dance in rain with me. oh boy!! what a wonderful experience that was. I always wanted to speak out to her...but....I couldn't...I just donno why... She used to feel secure and confident when my hands are on her shoulders. * * * To be continued... ---------------------------------------- PS: Wrote this on 21 May 2009
